Dr. Anand Zachariah, Medicine department, Christian Medical College, Vellore

I have been fortunate to play a role as the link between DoctorNet India and Christian Medical College. We have responded to 16 referrals from DoctorNet to CMC in the last 1.5 years and provided care to many of them. As professionals who are from outside medicine, Aravindan, Abirami and team have contributed to making health care accessible in needy areas in Tamil Nadu.
I have also had the opportunity to attend several zoom meetings organized by DoctorNet on health care in rural areas. They have expanded the Rural Senstisation Programme for young medical students through an online platform.
I would like to continue to work with DoctorNet in providing bridges within the health system to make health care equitable.

Message from a person who is rehabilitated from alcohol addiction

Dr. Rajkumar, KC Patty Primary Health Center, Tamilnadu.

Our primary health center is located in the lower Kodaikanal hills - 50 km east of Kodaikanal with many isolated small villages. Many of our patients are Adivasi and poor, with very limited awareness of their rights and capacity to negotiate an increasingly complex and unfamiliar referral pathway. So, when tertiary treatment is essential for them, they are often completely unable to access these services. It would take a huge effort on our side to help them access tertiary care and even then many would fail to get it because the existing unjust health system totally fails to cater to the needs of these culturally different and socio-economically disadvantaged people.

So. when we became partners with DoctorNet India, we found a refreshing and welcoming organization that bridged the huge gap between our patients and the existing system. DoctorNet not only found ethically practicing doctors who we could refer to, but also gave the highly personalized and loving care that was crucial to ensure the enormous cultural gaps were effectively bridged. They do this through personalized and professional inputs as well as love that is special. In fact, their role is fundamentally ESSENTIAL if our health system is to care for everyone including the most marginalized. We wish DoctorNet finds the resources and support they need so that there is social justice and equity in health care.

Dr. Immanuel, Christian Fellowship Hospital, Oddanchatram, Tamilnadu.

I have been associated with Mr. Aravindan and Mrs. Abirami of DoctorNet India for more than a year.

Their zeal to get the best possible treatment for the most needy (in most cases the poorest of the poor) is amazing. For them, nothing is impossible. They leave no stone unturned to help the poor and needy. It's a privilege to work with them.

May the good Lord shower all His blessings upon them as they try their level best to wipe away the tear from every needy soul.

Dr. Balaji Sampath, Founder, AID India

Our field teams at AID India have been working with DoctorNet India closely for more than 3 years. Earlier, when our village volunteer found children and adults with severe medical problems, we didn't know how to help them. Now with DoctorNet, our village volunteers directly connect the patients to a doctor, get a diagnosis, do regular follow up and in many cases even organize surgeries free or at extremely low cost.

Several poor families have benefited from this amazing service - from simple problems to covid care to even complex surgeries - rendered by DoctorNet and their network of volunteers and doctors.

Our village coordinators across Tamil nadu report how happy the family and community is with this amazing support from DoctorNet team.

Thank you Aravindan, Abirami and the entire team!

Dr. Mrudula, ASHWINI Gudalur Adivasi hospital

We have been in associated with DoctorNet for few years. We've reached out to DoctorNet several times when referring tribal patients to Coimbatore medical college or private hospitals in the plains. Our tribal patients get totally lost in the hospitals.
DoctorNet has helped them in all possible ways - interfacing with the consulting doctors regarding the care and the expenses;
arranging blood donors; helping them with the transport etc.
It is such a relief for us to have them to take care of our patients when we refer them to higher centers. We thank them for all the help they have rendered till now and wish them good luck!

Dr. Ilangovan Veerappan, MBBS, MD, DM (Nephrology, kidney transplant)

I've been associated with DoctorNet, treating poor patients referred by them. The outstanding aspect about DoctorNet is their love for fellow human beings in distress. They are the mastermind and also the foot soldier.

What I have understood working with them is that they have absolutely no financial help from any major donors. They don't mind waiting long hours outside a clinic to assist the patient, especially in their first visit. They travel to remote locations, hold hand with the communities and change their lives in the ways possible by them. Helping 250+ patients in 2019 by this very small organisation is no mean feat. I wish them good. Proud and happy to be part of their great effort in helping distressed souls!

I work as a Plastic Surgeon at Ganga Hospital and specialize in the treatment of chronic wounds. We at Ganga Hospital have been associated with Aravindan and Abirami of DoctorNet and am really touched and amazed by their sincerity and drive to help those in need. They work hard to network the need to the availability and have been doing a great job of it. I wish them all the best in their efforts

Mr. David Barun Kumar, Founder of India Nirman Sangh, Kodaikanal

India Nirman Sangh works among poor women in the Kodaikanal and Palani Blocks of Dindugal District. In many of the hill villages, the access to good, affordable medical advice and treatment is simply not available.

DoctorNet has given the poor in these areas access to sound medical advice from reputed doctors. In many cases, DoctorNet has facilitated the treatment of these poor patients in good hospitals.

The dedication and concern for patients shown by DoctorNet is exceptional. I hope DoctorNet grows and is able to support many more needy patients.
