Connecting doctors with COVID patients from rural areas to provide guidance and reassurance.
Organizing awareness sessions to volunteers from 400+ villages.
Educating volunteers of AID India from 400 villages across Tamil nadu. We create awareness about coronavirus, help with early identification of COVID and providing guidance/emotional support during home isolation. In May and June 2021, we've guided 154 COVID patients.
COVID first wave
Provided free tele-counseling helpline service (in association with SOCHARA and MNI) for the people to cope with pandemic related anxiety/stress/fear. 24 professional psychologists counselled 400 distress callers from small towns and villages across Tamil nadu.
During the first lockdown, spoke to hundreds of patients we had guided prior to the pandemic and provided required medical/emotional support.
Guided few COVID patients with co-morbidity during the hospitalization and provided emotional support till recovery.
Organized awareness sessions on precautions and dealing with covid to our volunteers in villages and small towns across Tamil nadu
Organized to get COVID insurance for 12 patients having serious illness with reduced immunity.
