In 2019, we've guided 250 patients from lower socio-economic status in 17 districts of Tamil nadu and few regions in Kerala and Assam 

• Of the patients supported in 2019, we spoke to 157 in the first week of 2020. Below is the summary:

  • • 47% recovered completely

    • 40% continuing treatment

    • 8% expired

    • 5% stopped treatment. Initiated follow-up again.

• Organized a two-day health awareness program to 40 social workers/activists from our associate organizations across Tamilnadu - with informative sessions from nine reputed doctors.

• Initiated a long-term preventive health program in one of the tribal regions in Kerala.

• Had discussions with doctors at wonderful community hospitals in Sithilingi, Gudalur, Oddanchathram to widen our perspective on health.

• Visited / associated with organizations working in the tribal regions of Anamalai, Valparai, Athikadavu, Thalavadi, Sathyamangalam and Marayoor.

• Delivered an awareness speech about government health insurance schemes.

• Featured in BBC Tamil.
